Multimodal transportation of project cargo to Island Sakhalin

2016-02-10

ABIPA has organized multimodal transportation and successfully delivered gas-distributing blocks from Moscow to JSC “Okhinsky Combined Heat and Power Plant “.

The oversize cargo project has been developed for our client  LLC” Prosoft-Sistems” routing Moscow-Sakhalin-Okha.

Origin point was in Moscow. The cargo was loaded and delivered to railway station by trucks. After arrival to destination railway station, blocks were overloaded on the float to be shipped from continent to the Sakhalin Island for final transportation to Okha town.

Delivery complexity was connected with reloading blocks by special heavy-duty crane trailer from the place of unloading on railway stations on the float to Sakhalin. Weather conditions made delivery by sea very complicated, but we managed it!

It was the first project to this destination for us. The customized logistic solution and professional work of our experts have received positive responses from the client.

Dimensions of gas-distributing blocks: length is 14 m, width – 3 m, height is-3 m

Freight weight: 15 tons

Destination: 10 034 km
